Create Sitemap Files

An XML sitemap is a file which lists all your storefront's pages and their relationships to one another. Once submitted to a search engine it will help with indexing and ranking of your storefront within that search engine's results.

How to use:

  1. Under the Marketing heading click on the Sitemap link
  2. Click on the Sitemap button to create a sitemap for your storefront.
  3. Register an account with the appropriate search engine.
  4. Verify administrator functionality for your storefront.
  5. Upload your sitemap to your search engine account.
  6. Confirm successful acceptance of your storefront sitemap within the search engine index (this may take several days).

Tips & Tricks

  • If you wish to change the file name from sitemap to something you feel is more fitting, ensure that you include .xml at the end of your new name. This is the file type and in order to be able to successfully save a sitemap, it must be included.
